A team from MLA’s design, purchasing and contracts department spent the day with South Yorkshire Police to see Stop Stick in action.
The day was aimed at ensuring police officers were kept up-to-date with their Stop Stick training but allowed MLA staff to see first-hand how the tyre deflation device worked.
Natalie Dearlove and Mimi Rawlings were given the chance to drive in the car which was being pursued and drove over the deployed Stop Stick.
Natalie, said: “It was a brilliant day and really gave us a chance to see how Stop Stick worked. The adrenaline was incredible. I know so much more about the product having seen it in action.”
